INTEC Electronics Digital Interface B8001

High
quality audio interface and sound processing software
for
the ZX81 with 16K RAM or Spectrum 48K (Not 128K).
The software enables the unit to perform the following
DIGITAL processing: Sampling - Sequencer (Spectrum only),
Echo, Reverb, Rotary effects, Harmonizer, Flanger, Chorus,
Modulation, etc. All parameters are menu driven, you can
even save the settings that you create, so no scratching
your
head trying to find that amazing sound you had!
The B8001 interface plugs into the bus port at the rear of
the computer by way of a flying plug with through port.
The unit has a variable gain input for line, microphone,
guitar, synthesizer etc. and a line output socket for
connection to an amplifier, mixing desk or recorder.
It has rotary controls for: Input Gain, Modulation depth and
Speed, Regen (Feedback), Effect mix level and Output Volume.
Toggle switches for: Offset select (A-ZX81, B-Spectrum) and
High cut Filter. LED's for: Power on and Process activity.
The range of effects obtainable is enormous. Uses 8 bit-Mono
Analogue to Digital & Digital to Analogue converters. It works
by converting the audio input into digital codes, the codes are
then processed by the computer and re-converted back to Audio,
transforming the sound according to the parameters set in the
software. Probably one of the most futuristic pieces of kit ever
produced for the Sinclair 8 bit computers when you consider that
these were released in 1984 (fell_pony).
